Barbara Miller Fleischhaker

Barbara and her husband Dave have been active in canine rescue for a decade, helping hundreds of dogs through home based foster programs and a variety of rescue groups.  Working primarily with small breeds, they have fostered shelter dogs, owner surrendered animals, and a large number of breeder released and puppy mill survivors.   They have learned valuable lessons, researched dog behaviors and coached many foster homes to deal with transition issues.  Having celebrated many successes and suffered a few disappointments, they have recorded techniques that have helped the dogs along the way.  They hope this manual will help foster homes and adopters to successfully transition rescue dogs to forever homes.
